#5 - The (last) poetry...

Ok, after the fear session and after the alcol party it's time to come back to the beginning poetry and to the Dakhla's romanticism... So it's time to talk about this incredible place called the white dune...
Everything started two days before to leave, when me, Lorenzo il Finocchio, Miriam Lorenza, Alex Le Parisien who loves the sun :-D , Caroline the photgrapher and Philippe Kamikaze decided to do the downwind from the camp to this famous dune:a navigation of 10 km (i think 10, may be less... or more...)through the desert passing lagoons, ocean, rocks, following the wind direction. After a small briefing with Rachid (tha BOSS), who explained us tip & tricks about our trip, we were ready to go: 3 couples formed by me and philippe, Alex end Carol, Lorenzo and Lorenza, and Tommy, Celine and Rachid who followed us by car (through the dunes with a 4x4) to control if everything worked right and to bring us back... In the water, the first minutes we studied a little bit the distance and the "path" to follow in the sea... but passed the mountain closing the camplagoon, the ocean and the desert show us their greatest faces: infinities others lagoons with glassy water, white sand... you can't recognize where the sea became desert, and when you entered in one of these lagoons tens and tens of flamingos started to fly around you... and you was in this incredible pink cloud, with your kite in the sky surrounded by flamingos and you can hear just the wind and the sound of the water under your feet... and in these fantastic dimension, in wich really the wind was your music and the desert your home, you feel the most incredibles sensations, and you thought that what's really important was to stay there in those moment... And after this show, the water becames blue and finally you can see the dune: a white giant in the ocean, surrounded by water and rocks... The dune created another big lagoon between the ocean and the desert, so we pass another hour into flat water (30 cm high) with 25kt wind and super colors. The last surprise arrived after we landed the kites: on the other side of the dune, towards the desert, the wind created an incredible sand cliff 30-40 mt high over the sea... as a giant eat the part behind of the dune. This is the most beautiful place in dakhla... no way, the most beautiful place...
I know I emphasized a lot my little story, but if you'll go there you'll surely understand what does it mean... Now it's time to show you the pics shoot by Caroline and Tommy (tnx guys!)... see ya to the last post and last photos!
